School Psychologist - Columbus, Indiana

As a School Psychologist working on contract in this district, you’ll have the chance to foster positive outcomes for learners by conducting evaluations, collaborating with educators and families, and serving as a vital member of the special education team.

You’ll work onsite between three different school buildings, dedicating your expertise to accurately assess student needs and ensure that all procedures align with state and federal regulations. This position allows you to contribute to a collaborative atmosphere, with a consistent Monday to Friday schedule from 7:45 AM to 3:15 PM.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Valid Indiana School Psychologist license required
• Experience with psychoeducational assessments, eligibility determinations, and report writing is preferred
• Solid understanding of special education law and best practices for compliance
• Strong collaboration and communication skills for engaging with staff and families
• Commitment to supporting students through thoughtful, data-driven decision making

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct approximately 70 special education evaluations annually
• Provide expertise across three school buildings, adapting to the unique culture and needs of each
• Participate actively in monthly team meetings to discuss student progress and evaluation results
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure full compliance with all special education requirements
• Report directly to the district supervisor and collaborate with multidisciplinary school staff
