Exciting opportunity for licensed School Psychologists to make a positive impact supporting students in elementary and middle school! This contract assignment runs from August 31, 2026, through June 4, 2027, with a 37.5-hour work week. You’ll have the rewarding chance to serve a diverse caseload spanning K-5th grade (25-35 students) and 6th-8th grade (20-30 students), focused on helping each student thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Qualifications:
- Active and valid MN School Psychologist license required
- Experience working within school settings strongly preferred
- Ability to develop, implement, and monitor IEPs tailored to student needs
- Strong skills in counseling and delivering behavioral interventions to children and adolescents
- Collaborative mindset, with comfort working closely alongside teachers, families, and support personnel
- Proficiency in crisis response and safety planning for students
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational abilities
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide psychoeducational assessments and comprehensive evaluations for K-8 students
- Play a central role in developing and supporting high-quality IEPs
- Deliver individual and small group counseling services
- Partner with educators and families on intervention strategies and student progress
- Lead collaboration on behavioral supports and positive behavior plans
- Proactively participate in crisis intervention and maintain a safe learning environment
- Serve students onsite at a single assigned elementary or middle school building
