You will mainly work onsite in Emporia, KS, with the possibility of assignments in nearby schools—always within a convenient 20-minute drive. You’ll serve a diverse range of students, fostering positive outcomes and collaborating closely with education professionals who value holistic support for every child.
Requirements and Desired Experience:
- Current Kansas School Psychologist license (required)
- Strong foundation in psychological assessment, counseling, and behavioral intervention
- Experience working with K-12 populations preferred
- Keen observational, analytical, and communication skills
- Flexible, solution-oriented approach with the ability to travel locally between school sites
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and eligibility assessments
- Deliver individual and group counseling to promote student success
- Consult with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop effective intervention strategies
- Support crisis intervention and response as needed
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams, including IEP and 504 meetings
- Advise staff on positive behavioral supports and best practices in mental health
