A full-time opportunity is available for a School Psychologist to provide essential support within an elementary school setting. This contract position covers a full semester, beginning immediately and concluding on June 12, 2026, serving as maternity leave coverage. The role requires dedication to an elementary caseload, contributing to the academic and emotional well-being of students.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting psychological assessments and evaluations for elementary students.
- Collaborating with educators, parents, and support staff to develop individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Providing direct counseling and intervention services to students as needed.
- Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to support student success.
- Maintaining accurate documentation and reports in compliance with district policies.
Qualifications and experience preferred:
- Valid certification/licensure as a School Psychologist.
- Experience working with elementary-aged children.
- Strong assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication and organization skills.
Location: This position is based in Cranston, Rhode Island, within an elementary school environment.
This full-time role entails a 37.5-hour workweek and does not include VOCO (Vocational Opportunities) responsibilities. The position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on students’ learning and emotional health during the maternity leave period.
