Your expertise will be essential in conducting evaluations, participating in support meetings, and assisting students whenever the school social worker is unavailable. School hours run from 7:45 am to 3:15 pm, with extended professional development every Wednesday until 4:45 pm, ensuring ongoing growth and collaboration with dedicated colleagues.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Valid certification and/or state licensure as a school psychologist
- Previous experience working in K-8 educational settings
- Strong evaluation and assessment skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, educators, and families
- Experience in multi-disciplinary collaboration within school teams
- Flexibility and reliability to support school needs as they arise
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer comprehensive psychological and educational assessments
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and specialists to develop and monitor student plans
- Participate in IEP and other support meetings
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention as needed
- Step in to support students if the school social worker is unavailable
- Attend weekly professional development sessions on Wednesday afternoons
