You’ll work a steady 40 hours per week, providing professional psychological services and collaborating with educators to help children thrive both academically and emotionally.
Desired Experience and Skills:
- Current licensure and credentialing as a School Psychologist
- Previous experience supporting elementary-aged students is highly desirable
- Familiarity with special education process, including assessments, IEP development, and progress monitoring
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, staff, and families
- Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive school environment
- Ability to utilize a variety of assessment tools and strategies
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations for students, supporting their academic, social, and emotional development
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, contributing to educational planning and intervention strategies
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to develop effective behavioral and academic interventions
- Provide individual and group counseling for students as needed
- Assist with crisis intervention and prevention programs within the school
- Support compliance with federal, state, and district regulations regarding special education
