School Psychologist - Cubero, NM

An opportunity is available for a dedicated school psychologist to provide essential services during the Extended School Year (ESY) in June 2026 and throughout the 2026–2027 academic year. This contract position will involve counseling, comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations, and collaboration within a vibrant school environment.

What you'll bring to the role:

• Valid psychologist license in good standing
• Experience with psychoeducational assessments for Special Education and Gifted and Talented programs
• Proficiency in developing and navigating Individualized Education Program (IEP) processes
• Familiarity with, or willingness to learn about, the Bureau of Indian Education (BIE) system
• Outstanding organizational skills, with the ability to keep detailed evaluations, service logs, and compliance documentation
• Flexibility in scheduling and a collaborative spirit to work alongside school staff

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Providing counseling services to students during ESY (June 2026, one day per week, roughly 4 hours) and the regular school year (from August 2026 through June 2027, 2–3 days a week, about 6 hours per day)
• Conducting thorough psychoeducational evaluations for both Special Education eligibility and Gifted and Talented determination
• Participating actively in IEP meetings and ensuring all documentation is submitted promptly
• Collaborating with educational teams and contributing to a supportive school community
• Maintaining accurate records and service documentation in compliance with school requirements
