Within a single building, you will collaborate with educators, families, and other specialists to assess student needs and support their academic and emotional success. With a manageable caseload of 40-50 students, responsibilities will include conducting comprehensive evaluations, participating in the development of IEPs, providing interventions, and serving as a resource for staff and families.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid School Psychologist certification or licensure appropriate for school-based practice
- Previous experience in educational environments strongly preferred
- Competence in cognitive, behavioral, and social-emotional assessments
- Skill in developing, implementing, and monitoring evidence-based interventions
- Thorough understanding of the IEP process and compliance requirements
- Excellent communication, organizational, and collaborative abilities
- Passion for supporting a diverse population of students
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational assessments and interpret results for planning student success
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team processes
- Design and implement effective interventions at the individual and group levels
- Provide consultation to teachers and school staff concerning student needs
- Support family engagement and foster positive school-home connections
- Maintain comprehensive, accurate documentation and confidentiality
