Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Current certification or licensure as a School Psychologist (required)
- Experience working in K-12 school settings preferred
- Strong knowledge of assessment tools, special education law, and intervention strategies
- Excellent communication skills for working with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to maintain thorough documentation and compliance with state/federal regulations
- Flexibility, organization, and time management skills to adapt to evolving caseloads and school schedules
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational evaluations to determine eligibility for special education services
- Provide counseling, behavioral intervention, and crisis support to students as needed
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and monitor student support plans
- Participate in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings, contributing expertise to discussions about student needs and accommodations
- Maintain accurate records and ensure adherence to all legal and ethical standards
- Deliver professional development or guidance to staff on relevant topics such as mental health and behavioral interventions
