Advance your career as a vital member of the school-based mental health team in the Houston area for the 2026–2027 academic year. You will play an instrumental part in supporting approximately five campuses and will serve as a key resource for students, families, and staff. This contract opportunity is designed for full-time School Psychologists who excel in dynamic educational environments, bringing expertise and commitment to student success.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid and active Texas School Psychologist credential/licensure required
- Previous experience in school-based settings (K–12)
- Reliable transportation and ability to work on-site; some hybrid report writing from home may be considered
- Demonstrated ability to manage, prioritize, and support multiple campuses
- Contract duration: July 30, 2026 – May 28, 2027 (full-time, 37.5 hours/week)
- Capable of completing and covering the cost of required fingerprinting within three days of contract signing
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and provide data-driven recommendations
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary education teams to develop and implement IEPs and behavior intervention plans
- Provide direct and indirect support to students, staff, and families to foster academic and social/emotional growth
- Deliver counseling and consultation services, ensuring culturally responsive practices
- Liaise regularly with campus leadership and district personnel to ensure best practices and compliance
