Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid certification or license as a School Psychologist
  • Experience with psychological assessments and report writing
  • Background in school-based settings, particularly at the elementary or middle school level, preferred
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local special education regulations
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work independently and manage a caseload efficiently

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for students in need of support
  • Develop, administer, and interpret a variety of evaluation tools and methods
  • Prepare detailed, clear, and actionable reports in a timely manner
  • Participate in IEP meetings, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and families to design intervention strategies
  • Provide guidance and recommendations to staff and parents regarding student needs and interventions
  • Support school-wide initiatives related to social-emotional learning, mental health, and behavioral interventions
  • Help to maintain compliance with all relevant policies and best practices
