Qualifications:
- Master’s or Specialist degree in School Psychology or equivalent field
- Current, valid licensure or certification as a School Psychologist in Michigan, or eligibility to obtain
- Experience conducting psychoeducational assessments and interpreting results
- Comfortable developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong understanding of behavioral interventions, crisis response, and special education law
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Collaborative, student-focused mindset
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations using a variety of formal and informal tools
- Participate in IEP meetings and help develop strategies to support individual student success
- Consult with teachers, counselors, and parents regarding effective classroom interventions
- Provide counseling, behavioral support, and crisis intervention for students as needed
- Maintain detailed, confidential records and progress reports
- Assist in the development and implementation of school-wide prevention and intervention programs
- Stay up-to-date on best practices in school psychology and compliance regulations
