Step into a valued support role as a School Psychologist, providing essential services to high school students across four campuses—including an alternative program—in a vibrant educational community near Dearborn, MI. This is a full-time, onsite contract opportunity designed for someone ready to make an immediate impact, though a hybrid schedule may be discussed for a particularly strong candidate.

In this role, you’ll work closely with a diverse student body, primarily focused on special education with a population of around 110–120 students, many of whom are in the 17–18-year-old age range. Your experience with high school youth, especially in dynamic environments, will be critical as you step in to support and empower students at a crucial stage of their academic and personal growth.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid School Psychologist certification
  • Proven experience in high schools, ideally working with older adolescents and SPED students
  • Strong understanding of IEP development, evaluation, and implementation
  • Ability to conduct effective assessments and interpret data
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and report-writing skills
  • Flexibility to adapt between campuses and work within multiple teams

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological assessments for special education eligibility
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings and collaborate with educators, families, and staff
  • Deliver direct and consultative psychological services to high school students
  • Support students’ academic, behavioral, and emotional success
  • Develop strategies for positive student interventions
  • Offer guidance for transitioning students, including those in alternative high school settings
