Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist (state requirements must be met)
  • Experience working in K-12 educational settings strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in conducting psychoeducational assessments and interpreting results
  • Strong knowledge of special education laws, processes, and best practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, parents, and staff
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable managing multiple school assignments

Core Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of students referred for special education or related services
  • Interpret data and prepare clear, actionable reports to inform Individualized Education Program (IEP) planning
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, offering expertise on student learning, behavior, and mental health
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to create supportive environments and develop effective interventions
  • Support crisis intervention and response efforts as needed
  • Maintain accurate documentation, adhering to all ethical, legal, and district guidelines
