This contract role runs from August 25, 2026, to June 18, 2027, and offers the chance to work onsite, engaging directly with students and staff to support academic and emotional success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough psychoeducational evaluations in alignment with MARSE and IDEA requirements.
- Administer and interpret a variety of assessments, including cognitive, achievement, personality, adaptive behavior, and behavioral rating scales.
- Determine student eligibility for services and provide detailed recommendations under MARSE categories (SLD, OHI, EI, CI, ASD) and Section 504.
- Clearly communicate evaluation results and eligibility to parents and staff, fostering understanding and collaboration.
- Support the development of IEP goals and accommodations, and contribute to behavior intervention planning.
- Play a pivotal role in crisis situations by performing threat and suicide risk assessments, developing safety plans, and providing immediate interventions after critical incidents.
- Participate actively in Student Support Teams (SSTs) to devise classroom-based strategies addressing academic, emotional, behavioral, or physical challenges.
- Collaborate in program planning and evaluation services, aiding in data-driven decision-making processes.
- Engage in ongoing professional development as required for student services professionals.
Qualifications:
- Valid certification and credentials as a School Psychologist.
- Comprehensive knowledge of MARSE, IDEA, and Section 504.
- Experience administering a variety of psychoeducational assessments.
- Strong communication and interpretive skills for relaying evaluation results.
- Ability to respond to crisis and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
