This role provides the chance to work full-time (37.5 hours per week) in a dynamic educational environment, supporting districts in the Northwestern Illinois region. The assignment spans from August 3, 2026, through May 28, 2027, ideal for those seeking a rewarding school-year commitment.

You’ll have the flexibility to serve in one of two locations: East Aurora (District 131) or as an itinerant psychologist supporting District 300, including Algonquin, Carpentersville, and Hampshire. Candidates with bilingual Spanish-English skills are especially desired for the latter, though this is a preference and not an essential requirement.

Your background and qualifications:

  • Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Psychology K-12 endorsement
  • Master’s degree in School Psychology
  • Experience in assessment, consultation, and direct intervention with diverse K-12 student populations
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
  • Bilingual Spanish-English abilities are a plus, particularly for the itinerant role

What you’ll do:

  • Perform comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and interpret data for multidisciplinary teams
  • Develop and monitor individualized education and intervention plans
  • Provide direct counseling and crisis intervention as needed
  • Consult with educators and families to support students’ academic and social-emotional success
  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive school climate by fostering equity and advocacy
