This contract position offers a unique opportunity for a skilled School Psychologist to make a meaningful impact by collaborating with both elementary and high school students, families, and staff.
In this engaging, full-time role, you'll split your time between the two campuses, providing psychological services and participating in roughly 50 evaluations across grade levels. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for supporting diverse learners, strong assessment skills, and the flexibility to adapt to the varying needs of each school community.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid School Psychologist certification/license in Louisiana, or eligibility to obtain
- Experience working in K-12 educational settings, especially split campuses or multiple age groups
- Demonstrated proficiency with psycho-educational assessments, report writing, and consulting with multidisciplinary teams
- Comfort managing a caseload of 50+ evaluations and supporting students’ social, emotional, and academic needs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Open to flexible scheduling, including afternoon interviews and potential summer assignments
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough student evaluations to support special education eligibility and programming decisions
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to provide recommendations and interventions
- Offer counseling and behavioral support to students when appropriate
- Participate in IEP meetings, maintaining compliance and comprehensive documentation
- Serve as a resource for mental health and crisis intervention at both campuses
