School Psychologist - Denver, Colorado

Step into a dynamic educational setting near Denver, CO, where your expertise in school psychology can make a profound difference for students from early childhood through high school. This onsite, full-time contract position spans two school assignments—each week, you’ll collaborate with staff, students, and families to promote student wellness and success. Assignments are available in combinations serving multiple campuses, with caseloads allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Qualifications:

• Minimum three years of prior school-based experience required
• Master’s, Specialist, or Doctorate in School Psychology
• Active Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Service Provider License, School Psychology endorsement
• Proficient in cognitive, emotional, behavioral, and adaptive assessment
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Familiarity with current school psychological practices, progress monitoring, and educational collaboration
• Adept at crisis response and management, including suicide risk and threat assessments
• Computer and technology competence
• Ability to navigate multiple priorities effectively
• Demonstrated skill working with diverse populations
• Must successfully complete district background check and fingerprinting

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct service delivery for special education students, including group and individual counseling aligned to IEP goals
• Develop and implement targeted interventions at individual, group, or systems level addressing academic, social-emotional, and behavioral needs
• Provide mental health and behavioral consultation and support within the general education setting
• Perform and interpret comprehensive student assessments and write detailed evaluation reports
• Collaborate closely with families, teachers, administrators, and outside service vendors
• Conduct crisis interventions and support school teams with safety planning
• Participate in IEP and MTSS meetings, contributing expertise in data collection and program planning
• Deliver psychoeducation and professional development to staff and families
• Connect students and families to essential community resources
