School Psychologist - Denver, Colorado

This full-time contract opportunity is ideal for professionals who excel in providing compassionate, evidence-based support to adolescents with significant behavioral and emotional needs. You’ll be based at Meridian Academy, a specialized campus for middle and high school students (grades 6–12) requiring intensive services, serving a manageable caseload of up to 30 students.

Ideal candidates will:

• Hold a valid Colorado Department of Education SSP (Special Service Provider) license with either School Psychologist or School Social Worker endorsement.
• Demonstrate prior experience working with students in grades 6–12, especially those with severe behavioral and social/emotional challenges in facility or day treatment settings.
• Be prepared to complete background checks and fingerprinting required by the district.
• Possess strong collaboration skills to work in partnership with education teams and families.
• Show proficiency in handling IEP processes, including evaluations, participation in IEP meetings, and documentation.
• Have outstanding communication skills and a solutions-oriented mindset.

Core responsibilities:

• Deliver direct mental health support and interventions for students with complex needs.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments to inform Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
• Collaborate closely with staff on developing and implementing effective behavioral and emotional strategies.
• Facilitate and contribute to IEP meetings and maintain all regulatory documentation.
• Provide crisis intervention and support as needed.
