Take your expertise as a School Psychologist to the next level, supporting students in a dynamic setting near Des Plaines, IL. This contract opportunity runs from August 10, 2026, through May 22, 2027, with the first day for students on August 12. You’ll work full-time (35 hours per week) across two campuses, focusing primarily on a middle school for three days weekly, and spending the remaining two days with younger learners at a K-2 site.

In this role, you'll make a meaningful impact by conducting 30-40 evaluations throughout the school year, encompassing both initial and re-evaluations. Your responsibilities also include providing insightful observations and playing an essential role in developing and assisting with behavior intervention plans. Collaboration is key—you’ll join forces with dedicated special education teams to ensure the best outcomes for every student.

What we’re seeking:

  • Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Psychologist endorsement required
  • Prior experience with behavior intervention plans (BIPs) in schools
  • Strong background evaluating and observing students in K-8 settings
  • Proven track record collaborating with special education staff and multidisciplinary teams
  • Skilled at managing a full caseload and deadlines in a school environment
  • Effective communication and empathy for diverse student populations

What you’ll do:

  • Complete student observations, assessments, and both initial and re-evaluations
  • Collaborate with special education staff to develop behavior intervention plans
  • Serve as a supportive partner to teachers, parents, and school administrators
  • Track progress, maintain data, and contribute to eligibility and team meetings

Hourly compensation for this assignment ranges from $54 to $60 per hour, reflecting your specialized skills and dedication.
