Exciting opportunities await for licensed School Psychologists seeking a contract role near Des Plaines, IL. Two dynamic positions are available, each offering a chance to make a meaningful impact across elementary, middle, and high school settings for the 2026-2027 academic year. The assignment runs full-time from August 26, 2026, to June 11, 2027, with a Monday through Friday schedule.
You’ll engage with diverse age groups and focus primarily on re-evaluation reviews, eligibility meetings, and functional behavioral assessments—plus some initial evaluations. Exact hours and further caseload details will be discussed during your interview. This role requires strong communication skills and a commitment to collaborative, student-focused practices.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid School Psychologist license in Illinois (IL)
- Experience with evaluations, re-evaluations, and functional behavioral assessments
- Knowledge of special education law and best practices
- Ability to communicate effectively with families, educators, and teams
- Willingness to travel between multiple school sites (for Early Childhood Psychologist)
- Experience attending and facilitating IEP meetings
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and provide insights at eligibility and re-evaluation meetings
- Participate and consult in MTSS and data team meetings
- Support IEP development, attend meetings, and guide families and staff through processes
- For Early Childhood: Screen and evaluate students transitioning from early intervention and those in preschool, coordinating care among multiple sites
