Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a school psychologist, serving students from early childhood through high school levels. This full-time assignment runs from August 26, 2026, through June 11, 2027, offering Monday through Friday schedules and the chance to make a meaningful impact across multiple educational settings.

You’ll play a vital role in evaluating students, leading re-evaluation reviews, conducting eligibility meetings, and carrying out functional behavioral assessments. The work is dynamic, focusing on early intervention transitions and supporting students' growth at various development stages.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Active School Psychologist license in Illinois required
  • Experience working with elementary, middle, and high school populations is highly preferred
  • Strong grasp of special education laws, processes, and early childhood evaluation best practices
  • Outstanding communication skills, ensuring clear interaction with families new to special education, preschool partners, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between school sites as needed

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete screenings and evaluations of students turning three, as well as responding to assessment requests for ages 3-5
  • Facilitate re-evaluation and eligibility meetings along with some initial evaluations for students across assigned grade levels
  • Attend and actively participate in IEP meetings, ensuring student needs are met and communicated effectively
  • Support MTSS data team meetings and problem-solving as assigned
  • Serve as a team resource on special education law and evaluation best practices
