Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master’s or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology
  • Valid School Psychologist licensure in Illinois (or eligibility for IL certification)
  • Experience or coursework in early childhood development and play-based assessment models
  • Strong background in administering evaluations, interpreting results, and creating intervention plans
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Flexible mindset with the ability to adapt to varying caseloads and priorities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct play-based assessments for early childhood students to guide educational planning and interventions
  • Manage evaluations for students across the district, utilizing best practices in assessment and reporting
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to interpret data and implement individualized support strategies
  • Participate in multidisciplinary and Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to advocate for student needs
  • Provide consultation and support for staff on behavioral and academic interventions
  • Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with district, state, and federal guidelines
