Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active and valid School Psychologist certification (Illinois PEL with School Psychologist endorsement)
  • Experience working with K-12 student populations
  • Strong assessment, diagnostic, and counseling skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Knowledge of IEP development and familiarity with relevant state and federal regulations
  • Exceptional communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological assessments, testing, and evaluations for students referred for special education services
  • Participate in the development and review of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and consultation to support student success
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and allied professionals to design targeted interventions
  • Deliver professional development and resources to staff and families as needed
  • Maintain detailed and confidential documentation in accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines
