Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid School Psychologist certification for Illinois (PEL with School Psychologist endorsement)
  • Master’s degree or higher in School Psychology or a closely related field
  • Prior experience working in K-12 educational settings preferred
  • Strong background in assessment, crisis intervention, and counseling techniques
  • Excellent communication skills for collaboration with educators, families, and community agencies
  • Ability to develop and implement evidence-based interventions and Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations for referred students
  • Collaborate with Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and Special Education teams to identify student needs
  • Provide direct counseling and consultative support to students, teachers, and families
  • Interpret assessment data and participate in eligibility determination meetings
  • Develop intervention strategies addressing academic, social, and behavioral challenges
  • Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines
  • Participate actively in professional development and staff training sessions
