A full-time, contract opportunity is available for a School Psychologist serving K-12 students in Detroit, MI. This position spans the entire school year and offers the chance to support student mental health, academic achievement, and social-emotional development in a dynamic educational setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to identify student needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administration to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Provide counseling and crisis intervention services to students
  • Analyze data to inform instructional support and intervention strategies
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and assist in developing behavior management plans
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with state and federal regulations

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid School Psychologist certification or licensure for Michigan
  • Experience working within K-12 educational settings
  • Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools and educational laws (IDEA, ADA)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to manage caseloads and prioritize responsibilities efficiently
  • Commitment to supporting student growth and wellbeing
