Seeking a skilled and compassionate School Psychologist for a full-time contract assignment supporting high school students across four campuses, including an alternative setting. This role is ideal for professionals who thrive within a collaborative special education environment and are passionate about making a meaningful impact in the lives of students nearing graduation.
You’ll work on-site, helping a SPED population of 110-120 students, many of whom are in the 17-18 age range. While the primary model is on-site, hybrid flexibility may be available for candidates with exceptional experience and skillsets. The position is available for an immediate start.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Valid School Psychologist certification (MI credentials preferred).
- Extensive high school experience, especially working with older adolescents.
- Familiarity with multi-campus or alternative high school settings is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience conducting comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations, IEP participation, and providing social-emotional/behavioral support.
- Strong communication and collaborative skills for working with faculty, families, and diverse student groups.
Key Responsibilities:
- Offer direct assessment, consultation, and intervention services to special education students.
- Support IEP development through psychoeducational evaluations and team meetings.
- Provide individual and group counseling for students navigating academic or personal challenges.
- Assist in developing and implementing positive behavioral strategies and supports.
- Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, and families to promote inclusive educational environments across all campuses.
