Located in Detroit, MI, this part-time contract position offers an opportunity to provide specialized psychological services in an educational center program supporting students with unique eligibility requirements, including MoCI, SCI, and SXI. Serving a diverse age range from 3 to 26 years old, this role is essential in ensuring thorough re-evaluations that guide educational planning and support.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive re-evaluations to assess students’ cognitive, social, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Collaborating closely with a team-based approach alongside another school psychologist at the site
- Providing expert recommendations to inform individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Communicating findings effectively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintaining accurate records and compliance with relevant educational regulations and guidelines
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
- Experience with evaluating students across a wide age span, including those with specialized eligibility categories such as MoCI, SCI, and SXI
- Ability to work effectively within a team setting
- Strong diagnostic and assessment skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
This role offers a flexible work schedule of approximately 20 hours per week, with options to work half days Monday through Friday or 2.5 full days per week, supporting work-life balance.
