Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s or Specialist degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
  • Current School Psychologist certification/license (or eligibility for certification/license) in Michigan
  • Demonstrated experience conducting psychoeducational assessments and student evaluations
  • Strong understanding of special education laws, Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and Response to Intervention (RTI) frameworks
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Previous experience working in multiple school settings is a plus

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and re-evaluations of students, utilizing appropriate assessment tools and interpretation
  • Support the identification of students’ academic, behavioral, and emotional needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop and monitor IEPs
  • Provide recommendations for evidence-based interventions and supports
  • Participate in Student Support Teams and attend multi-disciplinary meetings
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Serve as a resource and advocate for students and families within the school community
