Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity where your expertise will make a meaningful difference in the lives of students. This full-time, onsite role (37.5-40 hours per week) begins August 25, 2026, and extends through June 18, 2027. As a school psychologist, you’ll play a vital role supporting the academic, emotional, and behavioral well-being of students, while collaborating with educators and families to foster a positive school environment.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Current certification/licensure as a School Psychologist as required by the state
- Prior experience in educational settings, with strong knowledge of MARSE and IDEA
- Understanding of eligibility requirements for SLD, OHI, EI, CI, ASD, and Section 504 guidelines
- Skilled in conducting, administering, and interpreting a broad range of psychoeducational assessments
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex concepts empathetically to staff and parents
- Training in crisis intervention and safety planning preferred
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough psychoeducational evaluations and interpret findings for multidisciplinary teams
- Administer a variety of assessments, including intelligence, achievement, personality, adaptive behavior, and behavior rating scales
- Determine student eligibility for special education and Section 504 accommodations
- Clearly articulate results and eligibility processes to families and faculty
- Contribute to the development of IEP goals, accommodations, and behavior intervention plans
- Respond directly to school crises with evidence-based approaches to ensure student safety and well-being
- Work with Student Support Teams (SSTs) to create classroom strategies for students struggling with academic, emotional, or behavioral challenges
- Collaborate in planning and evaluating programs to support informed school decisions
- Engage in district-required professional training
