Make a positive difference in the lives of students across various grade levels as a school psychologist on a contract assignment near Detroit, MI. In this role, you will work with grades K–12, providing assessment, counseling, and support services to help students navigate academic and social-emotional challenges.
Qualifications:
- Valid certification/licensure as a school psychologist
- Experience working with students in grades K–5, 6–8, and 9–12
- Knowledge of psychological testing, individualized education plans (IEPs), and Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with educators, families, and administrators
- Ability to manage multiple caseloads and adapt to the needs of a diverse student population
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify students’ educational and emotional needs
- Support the development and implementation of intervention strategies and IEPs
- Provide direct counseling services individually and in small groups
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to promote student well-being and academic success
- Advise on crisis intervention and prevention programs as needed
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with state, federal, and district regulations
