Grades 6 - 8 Licensed School Psychologist in Detroit, MI

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current state license as a School Psychologist
• Experience working with students in Grades K-12 (elementary, middle, and high school)
• Proficiency in administering, scoring, and interpreting standardized tests and behavioral assessments
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with students, parents, and staff
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding ethical standards
• Familiarity with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), Response to Intervention (RTI), and 504 plans
• Ability to develop and implement effective strategies for various student needs

Core Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for academic, social, emotional, and behavioral concerns
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and support intervention plans
• Provide short-term individual or group counseling to address student needs
• Participate in eligibility determinations, IEP meetings, and progress monitoring
• Provide consultative services to teachers and families regarding best practices for student support
• Promote a positive, inclusive school climate for all
