Remote School Psychologist – 1099 Independent Contractor (Michigan)

Location: Remote (Must be licensed in Michigan)

About the Role

MI Psych is seeking a licensed School Psychologist to provide remote psychological services to K–12 students across Michigan school districts. This is a flexible, fully remote contractor position focused on supporting student learning, mental health, and behavioral development through telehealth and virtual school collaboration.

Responsibilities
Conduct remote psychoeducational evaluations and assessments
Support Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and eligibility determinations
Provide consultation to teachers, parents, and school staff
Develop behavioral intervention strategies
Participate in virtual IEP meetings and case conferences
Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with Michigan school and federal guidelines
Support student mental health and academic success through evidence-based practices
Requirements
Active Michigan School Psychologist certification/license
Master’s or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology or related field
Experience working in K–12 educational settings
Strong knowledge of IDEA, IEP processes, and special education regulations
Comfortable with telehealth platforms and remote collaboration tools
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience with remote or hybrid school psychology services
Familiarity with Michigan school districts and evaluation procedures
Bilingual abilities (a plus, not required)
Compensation & Benefits
