An opportunity is available for a full-time School Psychologist to provide on-site support across four high school campuses in Detroit, MI. This role focuses on serving a special education population of approximately 110-120 students. The position begins on July 7th, aligning with the start of the school year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to support individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to develop effective interventions and accommodations
  • Provide counseling and crisis intervention services to students with various emotional and behavioral needs
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to program planning for students with special needs
  • Monitor student progress and adjust support strategies as necessary

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Valid licensure or certification as a School Psychologist
  • Experience working with special education populations in a school setting
  • Strong knowledge of psychological testing, behavioral interventions, and legal requirements in education
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, and school personnel
  • Ability to manage caseloads and maintain accurate documentation

Location: This role requires on-site presence at multiple high school campuses within Detroit, MI. Travel between campuses will be necessary.
