Key Qualifications:
- Master’s or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology
- Current or eligible School Psychologist certification in Delaware
- Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools and best practices
- Experience with IEP and 504 Plan processes
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to provide counseling, consultation, and crisis intervention
- Commitment to cultural competence and equity in education
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and interpret results
- Develop and implement intervention strategies tailored to student needs
- Participate in IEP meetings, assist with eligibility determination, and ensure compliance with federal and state guidelines
- Consult with teachers, parents, and administrators regarding student learning, behavior, and mental health concerns
- Provide short-term counseling to students individually or in small groups
- Contribute to data-driven decision making for school-wide support services
- Support the development of positive behavioral intervention plans
- Serve as a resource on mental health topics and assist in crisis response when needed
