Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology
  • Current or eligible School Psychologist certification in Delaware
  • Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools and best practices
  • Experience with IEP and 504 Plan processes
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to provide counseling, consultation, and crisis intervention
  • Commitment to cultural competence and equity in education

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and interpret results
  • Develop and implement intervention strategies tailored to student needs
  • Participate in IEP meetings, assist with eligibility determination, and ensure compliance with federal and state guidelines
  • Consult with teachers, parents, and administrators regarding student learning, behavior, and mental health concerns
  • Provide short-term counseling to students individually or in small groups
  • Contribute to data-driven decision making for school-wide support services
  • Support the development of positive behavioral intervention plans
  • Serve as a resource on mental health topics and assist in crisis response when needed
