Job Type Contract

Step into a rewarding role as a school psychologist supporting two schools near the vibrant Washington DC area, just 45 minutes south of the city. This full-time contract position offers the opportunity to impact students across a diverse age range, focusing on assessment, consultation, and supporting core behavioral and academic initiatives within a school community.

Your days will run from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, beginning August 11, 2026, and concluding May 26, 2027. You’ll primarily provide assessment and consultation services, including Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA), Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) development, and occasional support for Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS). While counseling in partnership with social workers is rare, your collaboration may make a difference when needed. Academic achievement testing is not required, as dedicated educational diagnosticians handle those responsibilities.

  • Prior experience in a K-12 school setting preferred

  • Prompt ability to initiate the Virginia Department of Social Services background check
  • Negative TB Test (required per state guidelines)

Role Highlights:

  • Full-time, consistent hours at two assigned school sites
  • Focused roles without academic achievement testing duties
  • Work alongside a supportive multidisciplinary team
