Exciting new opportunity now open for a dedicated school psychologist seeking a dynamic, full-time, contract role. This position focuses on supporting K-6th grade students, offering the chance to create positive change within a thriving learning environment not far from Durham, NC. You’ll be on site, collaborating with engaged educators and a supportive multidisciplinary team to ensure every student’s needs are met through expert evaluations and assessments.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active School Psychologist certification (or eligibility) in North Carolina
  • Experience with student evaluations and assessments, particularly for elementary age group
  • Knowledge of current best practices for supporting students in K-6th grades
  • Strong skills in communication, report writing, and collaborative problem solving
  • Ability to work effectively in an in-person educational environment
  • Prior school-based experience preferred, but new graduates with strong internship experience are encouraged to apply

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive student evaluations and assessments
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to identify and address academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs
  • Develop actionable recommendations and strategies to enhance student success
  • Maintain clear and detailed documentation in accordance with school policies
  • Support crisis intervention and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
