Middle School High School School Psychologist in Durham, NC

This full-time, contract opportunity offers 37.5 hours per week and focuses on providing assessment and psychological services to elementary, middle, and high school students. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you will ensure students receive comprehensive evaluations and effective support to thrive in their school environment.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

• Active and current North Carolina School Psychologist license (required)
• Experience conducting evaluations and psychological assessments within a school setting
• Previous work supporting students across K-12 (elementary, middle, and high school experience preferred)
• Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with teachers, administrators, and families
• Commitment to ethical practice and maintaining student confidentiality
• Certified School Psychologist credentials

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer, score, and interpret standardized and informal psychological assessments for students in grades K-12
• Collaborate with educators and families to support student learning and behavior
• Contribute to the development of IEPs and intervention plans tailored to individual student needs
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and ongoing student progress monitoring
• Provide recommendations for instructional strategies and behavioral interventions
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines
• Engage students with empathy and cultural sensitivity
