A travel opportunity is available for a licensed School Psychologist to provide comprehensive psychological services within school settings. This role is suited for a professional ready to engage with diverse student populations and support educational staff through assessments, counseling, and intervention strategies.
Location: Durham, NC (with travel required)
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological evaluations to assess cognitive, emotional, and behavioral needs of students
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention services as needed
- Maintain detailed records and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of educational strategies
Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure or certification as a School Psychologist
- Experience conducting psychoeducational assessments and interpreting results
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with students, parents, and school personnel
- Ability to travel to multiple school sites as assigned
- Familiarity with legal and ethical standards governing school psychology
