A School Psychologist position is available in Durham, NC, offering an opportunity to support student mental health and learning outcomes within a dynamic educational environment. This role involves collaboration with educators, parents, and other professionals to address diverse student needs through assessment, consultation, and intervention planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments to identify student learning and behavioral challenges
- Develop and implement individualized educational plans (IEPs) and intervention strategies
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to promote supportive learning environments
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention services to students as needed
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to data-driven decision making
- Manage travel requirements to serve multiple school locations within the district
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Master's or Doctorate degree in School Psychology or a related field
- Valid licensure or certification as a School Psychologist in the relevant state
- Experience conducting psychoeducational evaluations and interpreting assessment data
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration
- Ability to manage caseloads independently and prioritize multiple responsibilities
- Willingness to travel between school sites as part of the position
