Key Qualifications:

  • Valid South Carolina Department of Education School Psychologist Certification (Level I, II, or III)
  • Master’s, Specialist (Ed.S.), or Doctoral degree in School Psychology
  • Demonstrated school-based evaluation experience preferred
  • Expertise in conducting and documenting various psychoeducational, behavioral, and autism-related assessments
  • Excellent organization, report writing, and collaborative skills
  • Ability to independently manage assessment timelines and interface with multidisciplinary teams

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Complete comprehensive initial and reevaluation psychoeducational assessments
  • Administer social-emotional, adaptive behavior, executive functioning, and autism-related evaluations as needed
  • Analyze educational records, classroom data, teacher feedback, and parent input to determine assessment needs
  • Select, justify, and utilize appropriate evaluation tools
  • Deliver timely, thorough written evaluation reports and participate in eligibility meetings (in-person or virtually)
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to school teams and parents, maintaining confidentiality at all times
  • Coordinate testing logistics proactively with special education staff and administrators
  • Ensure assessment materials are provided and all district procedures are followed, including verified parental consent
