Embark on a rewarding opportunity as a School Psychologist supporting elementary students on a full-time contract basis. This position spans approximately mid-December through the first week of April, covering a maternity leave. You’ll work 35 hours per week, focusing exclusively on student evaluations, allowing you to utilize your expertise in assessments without the responsibilities of ongoing counseling. Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
- Valid School Psychologist certification (state requirements must be met)
- Previous experience working in elementary school settings preferred
- Demonstrated expertise in conducting psycho-educational and behavioral evaluations
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage deadlines efficiently
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological and educational assessments for students in elementary grades
- Interpret assessment results and provide timely, clear written reports
- Collaborate with school staff to develop appropriate recommendations based on evaluation findings
- Engage in team meetings as necessary to review results and support students’ educational planning
- Maintain accurate records and ensure strict confidentiality in accordance with district policies
