Step into an impactful role this school year as a contract School Psychologist supporting elementary students in the East Lyme, CT area. In this full-time, in-person position, you’ll be an essential member of a vibrant educational community, collaborating with staff and families to empower young learners. The position is set to begin in August and runs through the Christmas break, with the possibility of extension.

Your expertise will directly bolster the social, emotional, and academic growth of elementary students. By assessing student needs, conducting evaluations, and contributing insights to develop effective interventions, you’ll play a pivotal role in fostering a supportive and inclusive environment.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Valid Connecticut school psychology certification (required)
  • Master’s or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology
  • Previous experience with elementary-aged students preferred
  • Strong collaborative skills for working with teachers, staff, and families
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct student assessments and interpret results for eligibility and intervention planning
  • Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
  • Develop and implement evidence-based interventions and supports
  • Provide counseling and consultation services for students and families
  • Maintain accurate, confidential documentation and reports
  • Serve as a resource to staff on crisis prevention, behavior management, and student wellness
