Desired Experience and Skills:
- Master’s or specialist-level degree in School Psychology or a related field
- Completion of accredited school psychology program
- State licensure or eligibility as a School Psychologist
- Experience conducting educational and psychological assessments
- Strong knowledge of special education processes, interventions, and legal mandates
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Previous school-based experience preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete comprehensive psychological and educational evaluations for students referred for academic or behavioral concerns
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, providing expert input regarding special education eligibility and individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and parents to create and implement interventions that promote student well-being, learning, and positive behavior
- Deliver direct and indirect psychological services to students, including counseling and crisis intervention
- Maintain thorough records and ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines
