Qualifications & Desired Experience

  • Master’s or doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
  • Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a school psychologist
  • Experience in K-12 educational settings preferred
  • Strong understanding of evaluation and intervention techniques specific to school-based environments
  • Excellent communication, consultation, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Knowledge of current laws and ethical standards regarding special education

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and assessments for students referred for academic, behavior, or emotional concerns
  • Develop and implement evidence-based interventions and recommendations tailored to individual student needs
  • Participate in IEP and 504 planning, meetings, and team processes
  • Provide individual or group counseling to address emotional, behavioral, and social challenges
  • Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to promote best practices for student success
  • Contribute to staff training, crisis intervention planning, and preventative programming
  • Maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with school policies and legal requirements
