This contract opportunity runs from August 6, 2026, through May 20, 2027, and offers the chance to work closely with students in grades 6-8, supporting a diverse caseload of approximately 500 learners. You’ll play a pivotal role in fostering students’ academic achievement, emotional well-being, and social development.

Qualifications:

  • Valid state certification or eligibility as a School Psychologist
  • Previous experience or practical knowledge working within school settings, especially with adolescents
  • Comprehensive understanding of psychological assessment tools, interventions, and special education processes
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills to engage effectively with faculty, families, and external partners
  • Passion for advocating for students’ individual needs and an empathetic, student-centered approach

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychoeducational assessments, behavioral evaluations, and crisis interventions for students in grades 6-8
  • Assist in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) as part of the special education team
  • Provide direct support services and counseling aimed at improving school adjustment and academic performance
  • Deliver consultative guidance and professional development to teachers and staff regarding student mental health needs
  • Collaborate actively with families, educators, and outside agencies to ensure a holistic approach to student success
  • Maintain accurate records while complying with all legal and ethical guidelines for school psychologists
