A School Psychologist role is available with opportunities for travel, serving educational institutions in Edison, NJ. This position focuses on supporting students' mental health and academic success through assessment, intervention, and consultation with educators and families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, social, and emotional functioning
- Develop and implement individualized support plans to address learning and behavioral challenges
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to provide counseling and intervention strategies
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) development
- Provide crisis intervention and support when necessary
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field
- Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
- Experience working within K-12 educational settings preferred
- Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools and intervention techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability and willingness to travel to multiple school locations within or near Edison, NJ
