Make a meaningful difference in the academic and emotional success of high school students by serving as a School Psychologist for the 2026-2027 school year. This contract opportunity offers a chance to directly support a high school caseload of approximately 30 students, working collaboratively within a vibrant educational community near Elgin, IL.

This role begins August 10, 2026 and extends through May 14, 2027, operating on a consistent Monday to Friday schedule from 7:30AM to 3:00PM. Your expertise will help shape positive student outcomes, address social-emotional needs, and participate in developing effective educational plans.

Qualifications:

  • Active School Psychologist licensure for Illinois is required
  • Experience working with high school students preferred
  • Ability to provide comprehensive evaluations, counseling, and intervention services
  • Skilled at collaborating with educators, families, and support staff
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Commitment to providing onsite support throughout the assignment

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations as required
  • Deliver individual and group counseling focused on student success and well-being
  • Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to create and implement intervention strategies
  • Support students with IEPs and participate in IEP meetings
  • Document all services provided and maintain accurate records
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive school environment for all students
