Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field
- Valid School Psychologist certification or eligibility for certification
- Experience in providing psychoeducational assessments and evaluations
- Skilled in counseling, consultation, and crisis intervention techniques
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and special education laws
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational abilities
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine students' cognitive, academic, and socio-emotional strengths and needs
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to develop personalized education plans
- Provide direct counseling services and intervention strategies for students
- Consult with teachers and staff on behavior management and learning strategies
- Facilitate and support the RTI/MTSS process and related data collection
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expert input to planning
- Maintain accurate and timely records and reports in compliance with district and state guidelines
