Make a difference in the lives of young learners as a School Psychologist in an engaging elementary setting near Elgin, IL. This contract opportunity spans the 2026-2027 academic year, beginning August 11th and concluding May 26th (with potential extensions for emergency days). You'll enjoy a consistent 40-hour workweek, collaborating with a dedicated educational team while supporting students from Early Childhood through 4th grade.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master’s or Specialist degree in School Psychology required
  • Valid state licensure and credentials as a School Psychologist
  • Previous experience working with elementary-aged children preferred
  • Strong knowledge of evaluation, assessment, and response-to-intervention procedures
  • Excellent communication, consultation, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to adapt services to meet a range of student needs

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct individual and group assessments to identify student strengths and needs
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Provide direct counseling and crisis intervention as needed
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student learning and emotional well-being
  • Offer consultative support and recommendations for academic and behavioral interventions
  • Maintain thorough, compliant documentation and case records
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and staff development sessions
