School Psychologist in Elgin, IL

An exciting contract opportunity is available for a dedicated School Psychologist to provide vital support to students across all grade levels, including transition-age youth, in the Elgin and Vernon Hills areas. The role spans from ASAP through May 28, 2026, offering a meaningful way to make a difference in diverse educational settings.

You’ll bring your expertise to a collaborative educational environment, engaging with students, families, and interdisciplinary teams. The schedule consists of 37.5 hours per week, with the flexibility for one hybrid day—completing all testing on-site and indirect services from home. Your work will primarily include conducting a variety of evaluations and participating in essential team and parent meetings. Additional duties may involve supporting MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports) initiatives.

Preferred qualifications:

• Current and valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Psychologist endorsement
• Experience conducting psychoeducational assessments for students of varying ages and abilities
• Comfort working across a full K-12 spectrum, including transition-age students
• Familiarity with multiple evaluation types and student-centered team processes
• Excellent communication and organizational skills for effective collaboration
• Ability to participate in and contribute to team and parent meetings, and support MTSS as needed

Key responsibilities:

• Complete comprehensive psychological and educational evaluations across grade levels
• Attend student team meetings and parent conferences
• Provide consultation and support on MTSS-related activities
• Coordinate with school teams, staff, and families to support student needs
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation
