School Psychologist in Elgin, IL

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
• Valid state licensure/certification as a School Psychologist
• Previous experience working in K-12 educational settings preferred
• Strong assessment, counseling, and consultation skills
• Knowledge of special education laws and processes
• Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive psychological and academic assessments for referred students
• Interpret assessment data and share findings with multidisciplinary teams
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop interventions and support plans
• Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute expert insight
• Provide crisis intervention, individual and group counseling, and behavioral support as needed
• Support positive school climate initiatives and prevention programs
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in line with district and legal standards
